ToC Announced for RESONATOR: New Lovecraftian Tales From Beyond

3

We won’t sugarcoat it, Migraineers… the selection process for our annual anthology this year was a grueling one. Our eyeballs bled some, our pineal glands require some form of etheric massage (so if you’ve got a line on that, or you know a guy, give us a call, please!) and we are this close to never wanting to read another manuscript again! But, the slush pile, which once held just under 150 stories, has been plumbed, sifted, agonized over, and finally reduced to the 17 stories (including that one by Mr Lovecraft, because it would be weird not to include the story that inspired the anthology, right? Right) which will appear in RESONATOR: New Lovecraftian Tales From Beyond! And, as an early Christmas present, here, in alphabetical order (because we haven’t yet worked out the kinks in the story order yet) are the fine authors (some new, some old, all preternaturally cool) who will be appearing in the book (due in paperback and ebook formats in March 2015)…

Cover Reveal and ToC for CONQUEROR WOMB!

0

BAFFLING! MYSTERIOUS!

Migraineers … it’s time. Time once again for the Annual Martian Migraine Anthology! This years theme: Shub-Niggurath, that most neglected of the Cthulhu Mythos deities. Now, earlier this week (on Facebook and elsewhere) we thought it would be funny to do a gag cover reveal and so posted this high-LAR-ious little number to our page and shared it with a few select Lovecraftiana groups. We were not prepared for the approval ratings we received back from what was, essentially, a prank. So, long story short, we will likely be offering CONQUEROR WOMB: Lusty Tales of Shub-Niggurath with this as an alternate cover, just as soon as we suss out any existing copyright issues for that image. Thanks, Baffling Mysteries #5!

And now… the real CONQUEROR WOMB Cover Reveal! (Totally legit this time, we swear.) We’re extremely pleased to have Scottish comics wunderkind Garry Mac (of Unthank Comics) provide us with this uniquely gonzo rendering of the Monstrous Momma of the Mythos! Shrink before her haughty mein! Tremble at her … things, stickin’ out all over like that there! Huh. Coo adorably at her Dark Young (but try not to let your fingers get too close)! Bow before the Black Goat of the Woods!

You’ll have noticed there are some names on this beautiful thing. So, without further delay, the Table of Contents! Pulsing with some of the best writers working today in Lovecraftian horror (Wilum Pugmire, Molly Tanzer, Brian M. Sammons to name a few!) and mind-bending erotica (Shon Richards, Annabeth Leong, Jacqueline Sweet to name a few more!), plus a host of fresh talent! (Feel quite free to bow before the ToC, too, we won’t mind…)

Some CONQUEROR WOMB Inspiration from Filmmaker Joseph Nanni

Submissions are rolling in for THE CONQUEROR WOMB: Lusty Tales of Shub-Niggurath! So far we’ve seen some dark and atmospheric short and flash fiction and we’d love to see more. To inspire you in your erotic-horror imaginings, here’s Joseph Nanni‘s teaser trailer for his film Black Goat… imagine this scenario, only sexier, and you’ll be on the right ancient track to our final edit column! Shub-Niggurath is a fertility deity after all, so there’s no reason why our intrepid investigator here couldn’t have a partner (or partners) in that frosty circle with him. Not to mention what could happen if those Dark Young are feelin’ frisky! Submissions for CONQUEROR WOMB close on December 15, 2013, so get writing and give us your best weird smut! And please blog, post, and retweet us for that all-important signal boost.
