ONE YEAR OF WEIRDNESS: MARTIAN MIGRAINE PRESS CELEBRATES A BIRTHDAY

March 14th will mark the first anniversary of our initial book launch, S R Jones’ subtly disturbing collection of horror shorts SOFT FROM ALL THE BLOOD. In the year since, we’ve released eight more books: the first and second titles in Justine G’s BLACKSTONE Erotica series, as well as a BLACKSTONE Erotica short; her sci-fi gonzo erotica novella ORGY IN THE VALLEY OF THE LUST LARVAE; and her highly experimental steampunk and Victorian erotica mash-up SEAWATER & STARS: The Last Novel of Gideon Stargrave, written in collaboration with S R Jones and Gideon Stargrave (the “fiction suit” of comics writer and all-round Pop Culture uber-sorcerer Grant Morrison). Not to mention the two poetry collections we’ve spawned into the world, namely skawt chonzz’s R’LYEH SUTRA and the eclectic, electrifying ANTHROPOCALYPSE NOW by shayne avec i grec and Johnny Macrae (aka 2 Dope Boys In A Cadillac).

Years ago, our author S R Jones used to run a weekly ‘Weird Tales’-style spoken word radio show, appropriately titled “Weird Tales”. Original. Anyway… he tells us that, with spooky stuff being sent out on the airwaves all year, Halloween always had an anti-climactic feel, so much so that he’d switch up genres and do an all-romance or documentary show when the dread night came round. We won’t be doing that for our Halloween special, but man, we know how he felt… because all (OK, most) of our titles are spooky.

Well, we’re still not entirely convinced that the whole Amazon KDP free promo weekend deal-i-oh does a title any particular good in the long run, but then again, we haven’t tried it yet with our erotica titles, have we? No. No, we haven’t.
That’s about to change.
Tomorrow, Friday August 10, through to Sunday August 12, we will be raising up for sacrifice to the reading hordes (and yes, to Mammon, if we’re being honest) the first book in Justine G’s horny horror-fest of a series, BLACKSTONE Erotica: RED MONOLITH FRENZY!
We’re kinda excited about it, actually. The recently released second book, GREEN FEVER DREAM, is doing alright, but we figure it can’t hurt to introduce readers to the book that started it all.
